Rules & Regulations:

1. Four (4) participants: Boyless, Filiposki, Pope and Schulz

2. Each NFL team is assigned a price based on current Super Bowl odds listed at an agreed upon sportsbook. UPDATE: odds were provided by Bodog (www.bodog.com).

3. At an agreed upon time, odds will be locked, provided to the participants and then used to calculate prices for all thirty-two (32) NFL teams. UPDATE: odds were locked and provided to the group on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at approximately 09:00 ET.

4. Team prices will be calculated by inversing the fractional odds and then shifting the decimal two (2) places to the left to create dollar values (total prize pool is expected to be approximately $160). UPDATE: prices were calculated using the above formula on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 and the total prize pool was set at $157.57.

5. A live draft (I will host or we can have it at a restaurant or somewhere else) will be held within twenty-four (24) hours of locking the odds and calculating the team prices. UPDATE: a live draft was held on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Duston Pope's residence in Novi, MI at approximately 20:00 ET.

6. Eight (8) round serpentine draft with each participant randomly drawing numbers for draft order (final participant must draft the 32nd team). UPDATE: all thirty-two (32) NFL teams were drafted.

7. There will be no salary cap enforced during the draft or at any point during the competition.

8. Each participant will leave the draft with eight (8) teams each and no transactions can take place until after Week 1 of the NFL season (beginning Tuesday, September 12, 2006).

9. Each participant paid the total value of his drafted team in cash or check on Thursday, August 24, 2006 to Paul Schulz who shall hold the "entry fee" in escrow until it is paid to the winner of the competition in the form of cash or check within five (5) business days beginning Monday, February 5, 2007 09:00 ET.

10. Each participant will have twenty-four (24) hours beginning Tuesday September 12, 2006 at 09:00 ET, and every Tuesday thereafter, to inform the group via email if he would like to put any of his teams up for auction and the desired opening bid for each team(s) to be auctioned.

11. Participants as individuals, or as the collective group, may auction off multiple teams each week in concurrent auctions and can combine multiple teams into a single auction as long as they meet all other team and/or roster requirements outlined in this document.

12. Each participant can auction as many teams as he wishes each week but must maintain a minimum of four (4) active teams (not including teams currently up for auction) at all times.

13. All auctions will be conducted using the http://superbowl.blogspot.com blog.

14. Based on emails sent to the group John Boyless will create the corresponding auction post(s) on http://superbowl.blogspot.com with all team(s) to be auctioned and the opening bid for each by Wednesday at 12:00 ET each week.

15. All auctions will begin every Wednesday at 12:00 ET and run for thirty-two (32) hours ending every Thursday at 18:00 ET.

16. Any participant may bid on a team by submitting a comment to the corresponding post on the http://superbowl.blogspot.com blog.

17. All comments (a.k.a. "bids") will be time stamped to the second, i.e. 00:00:00.

18. Each participant may place an unlimited number of bids each week.

19. All bids must be only in terms of cash (USD$) and in the following format: $0.10 and can be in any amount but must be made in minimum increments of ten (10) cents (USD$).

20. Bids cannot include or represent any compensation other than USD$ including but not limited to (other teams, goods, services, sexual favors, etc.).

21. The participant with the highest bid, time stamped on or before Thursday at 17:59:59 ET, will be awarded the corresponding team.

22. If no bids are received, the corresponding auction will be closed Thursday at 18:00:00 ET and the unauctioned team(s) shall remain the property of the original owner.

23. It is the responsibility of the individual participants to determine the payment terms and methods to complete the financial transaction of any closed auction.

24. An additional 10% transaction tax will be assessed on the value of winning bid for each closed auction and paid by both the seller and the buyer (5% each) into the general prize pool.

25. During the course of the season, all taxes will be documented in a designated post on the http://superbowl.blogspot.com blog and it will be the responsibility of the three (3) participants who did not win the competition competition to pay the winner the amount of his total accrued taxes in the form of cash or check within five (5) business days beginning Monday, February 5, 2007 09:00 ET.

26. There is no maximum number of active teams a participant may have at any time.

27. Any violation of the above rules and regulations will be grounds for immediate disqualification from the competition and forfeiture of any investments.
